I got to go last year and see some really cool stuff. Anyone get to go this year, see anything cool?

EDIT: Of course I guess if you got to go then you're still there and not checking the forum...

that was one of my less intelligent moments...

You definitely need to plan in advance... very far in advance. If you don't book hotels at least a handful of months in advance, expect to be very far from the LVCC or paying ridiculous prices.

someone on another forum i know went, he had this to say:
(its a car audio forum so its all about car audio)
"wish my time allowed me to spend another day, didn't get to get to everything i wanted to. heard dls car, not bad at all. decent stage, sounds good, gets very loud and still sounds good. better than my dyn's....wouldn't say that. everyone has their preferance though. hifonics has a huge 10,000 watt amp, mtx said screw it and has a 20,000 watt sub. retails for $6000. 300 + pounds and 2.5" linear excursion one way. 8" peak to peak capable. 90 db sensativity to boot. also, replacable cone/ coil assembly to switch to an sq sub. treo's new cxt comp sub,.........will be getting some for myself in a month or two when they are released. not only spl, but musical as well. 10,000 watt capable. very good upgrades went into that sub."
"i didn't see how that surround could support 8" of excursion nor do i think the surround is strong enough to handle serious pressures, but we'll have to see. they just started getting the parts in right before the show. missed a bunch of booths, some i even needed to go to. lots of good stuff. the half naked chicks in the hotel/casino and a few models at the show........ "
"the last one is of the new treo cxt. nomex reinforced surround in that model. baskets are fully modified for good excursion. some people on other sites will argue that treo can't move over 2" peak to peak and have a lot of theories why not. against thier train of thought, my ssx start getting destroyed at excursion of around 3.8" peak to peak. lots i saw, but since there are pretty much only a few that actually build their own, a lot looks the same except color. there were even importers there from china that had all kinds of baskets, magnet structures, cones, ect. you could look at them think wow, all these brands can be pretty much narrowed down to this crap. granted there can be diff tuned spiders and variances on the voice coils, but they all look the same. some nice exotic vehicles also. funny thing, most brands used that funky scion for demo vehicles. hifonics who owns crunch also just bought autotek. which, within the next year will be no more internet sales on autotek. my favorite was the high end stuff. wish i could have a bunch of vehicles and with a diff high end brand installed in each. genesis has some sweet products, morel, dls, missed dynaudio booth, nothing but respect and admiration for tru technologies."
