My SONY RM3100 LCD remote review

Just thought I would follow up polkThugs Harmony review with one of my own. I just got the 3100 for X-mas, and I must admit, it is very nice. I had doubts about the quality of this after all the "locking up" issues with the 3000. But, I have only experienced one lock up as a result of a dirty command, I simply deleted and reprogrammed the command and have been smooth sailing since. I can run every component in my system, and the ability to customize commands has been amazing. The size of the remote is a negative, I keep my directv remote handy for surfing the satellite. However, if you are looking for a remote to run a home theater system, this is a great buy. Can be had for less than a 100 online, and the touchscreen display is really neat and impresses the friends . Lastly, I have not experienced any problems with losing my settings after taking the batteries out. This seems to have been fixed from the 3000 as well, SONY says you have 20 minutes to replace batteries before you lose settings, not bad. Anyways very happy with the remote and defintely recommend it. Cheers.

well, I believe there is a warning indicator so that you know the batteries are getting low. Besides, I meant 20 minutes from when you actually remove the batteries...so just make sure you have extra batteries. For most people the batteries should last about 5 months.;)My Set-Up:
