I didn't expect this title to be coming on SACD, but in an e-mail from Music Direct, there it is....

It's coming on DVD-A too!

I purchased this on DVD and SACD a while ago and am just now getting around to listening to it.

Has anyone noticed that the bass is very thin on the SACD layer?

Maybe, but I can't believe it would just be completely lacking. Maybe I need to sit in the sweet spot. . . I was listening to it while cooking.

That would probably be your problem....I thought the same thing about the new Maroon 5 CD the other day, then I actually sat down and listened...I actually had to tame the sub a little to hear the vocals clearly....The bass on that album is mind boggling...

My son gave that new Maroon 5 to me for my B-day. Now I gotta hear it!

Well I listened to the SACD from the sweet spot. . . WOW!!! What a great recording and no there was not any leaness to the bass as a matter of fact what you said Carl is almost true!!! Plenty of bass and drum impact. I had just finished listening to the new 200gm realease of the Aqualung LP and was bowled over as to how analogy the Black & White SACD sounded.

    Great stuff!

Get the DVD and watch it in DTS multi channel. It's awesome! The line up of artists on the concert is amazing.

Tragically, Roy died before the show got to air in 1989.

I have the combo set DVD/CD/SACD etc. I saw this on tv and had to get the set. I believe I purchased it from Music Direct or Acoustic Sounds or Elusive Disc, one of those.

I have been using this DVD as my demo for women for many years. You don't need to play it loud to impress. And the women like the back up women.
