Would an MTX 502 amp be enough power for 2 of the MOMO 10s run at 4 ohms? The amp is rated for 125x2 at 4 ohms.

Second question.. how do these subs sound in a sealed box? I am going for mostly SQ but I like it to get pretty loud too. I had two of the polk DX or Ex ( I forget) 10s a few years ago and they sounded good. Then bought some MTX subs and now I am ready to go back to Polk. I know these MOMOs have been out for a while. Are they coming out with new speakers any time soon? Are the MOMOs worth getting right now or should I wait??... Thanks in advance.. First time posting!

    No.

You couldnt bridge the amp as its not stable to 2 ohm mono so you could only run it in 2 channel mode and the 125+ wouldnt be enough.

I would suggest you get this Thunder421D for a smokin price of $190. It puts out more than 420x1 which would be about 250 to each sub as MTX amps are way underrated. This would be a much better match.

I don't want a mono class D amp. To me, the class A/B have much better SQ. Any ideas for a class a/b that will put out enough power for $250 or less?

Class A/B amps do have lower distortion and singal to noise rating but in the 80 Hz and below range youd never be able to tell the difference.

If youre going to run 2 subs and you want to run a stereo amp youre gonna complicate things.

Virtually all stereo amps are not stable to 2 ohms mono which is the load you would have with two 4 ohm subs. If you were to get a pair of 8 ohm subs you would be set but those are hard to find. And to get a 200x2 stereo amp would be a lot more expensive not to mention huge!

For dual subs a mono amp really is a great way to go. They will be cheaper for the given power and quite a bit smaller. True they have more distortion but you cant hear it so what does it matter?
