I was thinking about getting the MonsterPower HTR2500 line conditioner for my home theater system and was wondering if they are worth the cash? I do get some flickering from time to time on my RPTV and was wondering if these things really work or not?l

Waste of money just like most Monster products. Spend about $35 and get a TrippLite Isobar. I have the Monster HTS3600 that retails for $500 and the Tripplite is just as good.

I have two on my system. they seem to help especially when i turn my system up. My receiver seems to draw a lot of power and the lights use to flicker. i have my powered towers and center working off the second one on a seperate circut. i have noticed some improvements. If you are going to buy one dont pay full price at stores like cc. buy it off the web. They can be found for half compared to stores. Also check out the monster cable rant in the clubhouse. It will be hard to get a honest answer on this forum because most guys here dont like monster cables business practices. Read it and then make your own decision as to if they are worthy of your business.

Ultimately this depends on how bad the power in your house is.

My house was built in 2001 by a good builder, so I have no electrical issues and no need for a conditioner. However, if you have an older house or just have dirty lines, then a conditioner can make a significant difference.
