SVS- how good are they?

Well guys i'm hoping you can answer a few questions for me, i know theyre spoken of very highly, but its a long way to import then not be happy with it. They will be paired up with a pair of rt55i's and fed lfe+mains but mainly used as the lfe for movies.

1. Do the cylinders have more placement flexibility (corner ect)
2. What model comes close to the psw650/505 (cylinder and box)
3. Is there a noticible difference in pc-+-ultra

Any input would be gladly appreciated

    650 what? The 400 dollar SVS beats the 650 and 505.

    IMO, whatever SVS you get, you'll be VERY happy with it.

    Just buy the biggest SVS or Hsu you can afford. Cylinder or box -- it doesn't matter.

    put it this way. i don't know of one person who hated their SVS and returned it. if they did. it was for a bigger model. not because it didn't perform well.
