I've seen a bunch of calibration DVDs out on the market, what would you guys recommend as your personal favorites, or those you've found to work the best?

I prefer q-tips, material I know well, and my ears. The Avia disc Polk sells seems to be a big winner with the HT enthusiasts here....

I went with the Video Essentials setup DVD, and I really like it. You can get it at a great price at the web site below.

    Good luck,

Russ, are you british? Not so much looking at the cheers thing, because I know a lot of American guys who say that, but I noticed you said 'fella' in another post, and I'm friends with a british guy who says that all the time. ;) Course, you do live in Tejas, so who knows, heh heh.

I think I pretty much calibrated everything ok with my ears too, but I'm just wondering how much of a sonic benifit these things really offer. I was going to get one of those sound meters from Radio Shack too, suppose I should do that first, eh? :)

Nah, Texas born and raised. I do like the Brit's speakers though (b&w, monitor audio), and you can't deny the old jags, aston martins, and austin healys.....and the spitfire fighter in ww2....

Ya'll come back now, ya hear....
