naaaa. So you create a turning force and convert it mechanically into a linear force and you say it is more efficient? Huh?

High end speaker companys have been useing this for awhile now. I was going to buy a Vanderstien sub that has 3---8" woofers that worked off sevo moters. It was pretty cool.:)

Have you guys ever heard any of these subwoofers? What are they like? Are they really better than traditional subs?

Are you guys sure about the Paradigm? I know it has a Closed Loop Servo Subwoofer System but it is a 15" driver with magnet, you know a speaker, I don't think it is Servo Drive type.

Max the Sunfire makes no mention of it have a servo control circuit, add to that many find the early and smaller subs very slow and sloppy, you know good for HT but sucks for HS.

I'm not sure what they mean by "closed loop servo." From their website it sounds like the servo might assist in starting and stopping the driver. I'm really not sure.

Aaron I agree, that is what I was saying.

I "thought" you were saying Paradigm used a servo motor like what is shown at the TWD site.

I wonder what the MTBF figure is. Now that you have a true motor with bearings and all.
