Hanging RTi38s and CSi40 directly on the wall?

I use two RTi38s and a Csi 40 for my mains and center. In my new house,I am planning on mounting the plasma to the wall along with the Rti38s on the side and the Csi40 directly below. Are the mounts that are built on the speakers hefty enough to support the weight?

I can only help you directly on the RTi38 situation.....as this is exactly what I use for mine.

    B-Tech

I found a good mounting bracket for the CSi30, but not the CSi40.

    Good luck!

Well, thanks for the reply, (those mounts are nice) but what I am specifically asking is if the speakers can be mounted directly to the wall using the existing "keyhole" mount on the back of the power port.

CSi40 has closed power ports and can not be mounted on the wall.

I should get my eyes checked.

Yes, that's what they are for.

    Can they, yes......

But you're not going to have them optomally placed if you have them pointing directly to the back wall. You should definitely consider Doro's suggestion as you can play with placement by going that route, where you cannot do that at all if you have them in a fixed position.

They are heavy buggers, and if you don't properly anchor them, you'll find them floorboard-side if you get the volume going up on them.

One of my former coworkers had a CSi40 mounted on the wall for his rear center (CS1000P in the front ;)). He used two 20lb Omnimount wall mounts.

I've mounted the RT35i (same as the RTi38) - on my wall, no stud - just a simple dry-wall anchor... held it fine

Well I am using stands on all of my Rti38s right now (see link for pics: http://www.jconti.net/polk/ ) I made these myself and they work great. I guess I will just continue to use them.
