Not Enough Digital Inputs

I have a problem connecting my Denon AVR-2800. This unit has one digital Coax input and 3 digital Optical inputs. How can I connect my DVD player (Coax out only) and my Cable box (digital Coax out only) so that I can decode the Dolby signals without recabling for each situation? I am not currently using any of the Optical inputs.
Denon Surround Receiver (AVR-2800)
Sony DVD Player (NS315)
Denon CD Player (DCM-460)
JVC VCR (HR-S5000U)
SONY WEGA TV

Unless you can change something to Optical input, I think you need to upgrade.
The other way maybe is to change out the cable box, maybe there's a box with the Optical output you need. I don't know if there's a converter box of some sort to change digital outputs Coax to Optical, and if there was I don't think it worth buying vs. upgrading.
Other then that Welcome

You don't have to necessarily upgrade. Try a coaxial-optical converter like the one from partsexpress.com.
Rat Shack carries one as well for about the same price as the one from partsexpess.
Hope this helps.

Great reply don't ever wish to give out bad or misleading info, my thinking that a convertor was like $100 or so. With that thinking was not in mind worth it vs. upgrading selling and buying something else.
