    I didn't do much audiowise in 2004.

built a spare bedroom 2ch only rig.

    Dynaco pre
    NAD amp
    Monitor 7B's
    Signal Cables

I tend to only buy and rarely sell off any gear.
    PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
Vancouver, Canada Sept 30th, 2012 - Madonna concert

    Bought in 2004
-New House (Painted room, new electrical, new TV stand, new IKEA corner shelves and some evil looking curtains all for my new theater room)
    -Front RTi8
    -Center Csi5
    -Surround Fxi5
    -Yamaha Vr-x750
    -Sony progressive scan SACD/DVD
-5 Disc old school CD changer
    -Upgrade to Digital Cable
    -Monster Cables throughout
    -Floyd DSOTM SACD
-A healthy start to a new DVD collection
-And a piggy bank labeled for home theater fund to finance the SVS 12" with a $430.00 dollar gift certificate from the old lady.

It was one of the best years of my young life.

    Let's see:

    Sold:
    Sony CDP XA3ES
    Rotel Receiver RSX-1065

    Bought:
    Krell Integrated 400xi (two channels)
    B&K Reference 50 S2 (trade up from Ref50)
    Pioneer CDP 563 modded
Signal Cable Speakon cable for REL subwoofer

everything else stay the same, all LSis speakers.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

    2004 was a good year.

    Bought McCormack DNA 0.5 amplifier.

    Sold Audio Research LS3 Preamp.

    Bought McCormack TLC-1 preamp.

Built a subwoofer for use in the HT.

Bought Arcam A85 integrated amp to try out.

Bought Musical Fidelity A3cr preamp to try out.

In 2005: I'm likely going to sell the Arcam, choose a preamp, and hopefully a CD player upgrade will happen soon. Other plans include buying some speakers to get my HT back, and an equilizer for the HT subwoofer.
    Sony KDL-40V2500 HDTV, Rotel RSX-1067 Receiver, Sony BDP-S550 Blu-ray, Slim Devices Squeezebox, Polk RTi6, CSi3 & R15, DIY sub with Atlas 15

The first part of 2004, I owned a Sony 5.1 receiver, mains were Sony towers w/8" woofers, Sony 5 1/4 bookshelf speakers for rears, Sony center, Sony 8" 50w sub, and a 5 disc Sony dvd player. (please forgive me, I didn't know any better):(

Update: January 2004, walk into Circuit City with a pocket full of loot. Come out with Polk Audio RTi8s, CSi3 center, RTi4s for rears, RTi4 for rear center, PSW505 sub, Panasonic dvd-f85 5 disc changer dvd, and an Onkyo 601 6.1 receiver for my new setup.
Also got a PS2, which was replaced with Microsoft Xbox.
Since then, I have replaced the RTi8s with the RTi10s, and the RTi4 surrounds with a pair of FXi3s for surrounds.
Got Pam a little Sony out the box HT with a Panny progressive scan dvd player for the bedroom.
Now I will buy a CSi5 within a few weeks.
Future upgrades include: a 51" widescreen RPTV, a new more powerful Onkyo or HK receiver, and also plan to replace all speaker cable with signal cable. You know what they say, "you got to crawl before you walk.";)
