CD Player Replacement

I need to replace my CD Player..
The little woman "accidentaly dropped it ", and now it`s toast...

It was a Yamaha AD9700 DVD/CD player..
Cost too much to repair...

It doesn`t have to be a DVD Player, as the one on the HT system is still safe , and working fine...for now

I`m looking for an upgrade to go with my new amps that should be here soon.

Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

    This looks like a unit that I will have to look into...

    I was just looking on Audiogon at the CD player , and Pre amp.

    Would I have to go tube on the amp side to make this realistic upgrade, or would SS amps still let me hear what I`m looking for ?

    It's not bad from what I've read, I've never heard one though. Check with Hoosier21, I believe he has/had one.
