Monitor 12 tweeter?

This is a series II Monitor 12. Does anyone know which tweeter this is? If the picture is hard to decipher, the color is jet black.

Two Channel Setup:

Speakers: Wharfedale Opus 2-3
Integrated Amp: Krell S-300i
DAC: Arcam irDac
Source: iMac
Remote Control: iPad Mini

3.2 Home Theater Setup:

Fronts: Klipsch RP-160M
Center: Klipsch RP-160M
Subwoofer: SVS PB12NSD (X 2)
AVR: Yamaha Aventage RX-A2030
Blu Ray: Sony BDP-S790
TV Source: DirecTV Genie

    Thank you. I didn't know that they looked like that.

    I'm not terribly fond of these speakers, in comparison with my 10's that have the peerless tweets. I was sort of hoping that they were Radio Shack tweeters and that a replacement would make a big difference.

    did most all (original) monitor series of speakers at one time or another use the peerless tweeter? so say someone might be able to find a monitor 5, 7, 10, 12 with a peerless? or did that just never happen?

    what years did Polk use the peerless tweeter?

    I'm not very fond of the SL2500 in my M10 series 2's.
    For some reason, these tweets just don't sound as good.
    I don't know how to explain it though.

    Anyone else experience a little disappointment in the SL2500?

    I'd like to know if its just me (perhaps a subtly bad set of tweets)... or, if its just a bad tweeter design.

    Yes. Cannot tell you the years, but the early Monitor 5/7/10/11/12 used the Peerless tweeter (including my 7A's).

    that's good to know.. i'd like to find a pair of monitor 10's with the peerless.

    I own a pair of 7B's and lo and behold they have the peerless tweets. very nice sounding.. that's for sure.
