My late father bought them in May of 1980. I inherited them several years ago. As a kid growing up I loved em'. Now some 25 years later I am nearly 40, they continue to still sound great.
Thanks Polk...you build great speakers.

    Excellent speaker.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    i'll second that

    my 12's are still pulling main speaker duty in my home theater set-up, and i'm in no particular rush to replace them. exemplary performers in hometheater and 2 channel environments
