I just picked up a pair of Monitor 10's and now I come across a pair of SDA2 for $75. Is this a good deal? From everything I read it is.

Excellent deal, grab them and worry about sleeping on the sofa later.

well I went and picked them up..they sound great even without the cable. I'm just starting out at this with Polk's and now I believe I'm beginning to become a Polkaholic. I have R50's front R30's rear and CS1 centers powered with my Onkyo 601. Sounds good but looking at the system showcases makes me feel inferior. Now I sit looking at this monstronsity of speakers, SDA's, the Monitor 10's and the R50's, up front having to choose which goes to my 2 channels setup in the garage to replace the Missions I have out there. Wishing there was a way to keep all in the HT but no, one must go.:(

Sell your SDA's to me for $100, and then tell your wife about how you made 33% profit and you would like to take her to dinner to celebrate.

    Mansanz1,

First thing you need to do is contact Ken Swauger at Polk, ask him for the owners manual. This will explain all the how's and what's about the SDA's you own. Second, you need to make the interconnect cable that runs between the speakers. As is, you're only getting half of each speaker. After you get the cable hooked up and the speakers set up correctly there will be no question that they stay in the house.

Eff what others have in the showcase. If you like the sound, does anything else matter? You'll drive yourself crazy if you only compare to others and think about what you could have instead.
