I think with proper placement adds alot to the 15's. Like SDA's the 15's need room to open up. They need more space away from walls. I keep mine 12inches from rear wall to give the rear PR breathing space. 7.5 feet apart with 2 feet on each side free of anything to give it the airy space they like. I have tried it closer to wall & didnt like it & noticed big difference pulling them out tad bit. I would love to get some 11's. Heard may great reviews. Enjoyed the 8's i use to have. Ive heard here that the SDA's are far better than the RTA's. To me compairing the SDA's against the RTA15tl's its a close call (to me) as i really like the 15's alot.

There's a rear PR on the 15TL? What size are they? Maybe the PR(s) aren't the same as what's used on the 3.1TL after all.

The 15's are a narrower footprint than the 3.1TL's, so I doubt they are the same.

For people like me who are new, could some of those in the know maybe list the most sought after/ highly treasured models in order from most to least. This would really help as I look to buy (I would hate to pay $300 for speakers that aren't really great and then passing on paying $50 for a pair of Monitor 10's because I didn't know they were so good).

    Thanks!

    Mark,
Unless Matthew Polk, the owner of a stereo store who has carried Polk speakers for the past 40 years, or some long-time Polk engineer still working there today answers your question, all you are going to get are opinions from people who don't really know the answer to your question. Polk has made a lot of speakers over the years. Very few people have heard them all. I would wager to say that none of those who have responded to the thread have. I know I haven't - especially under controlled conditions where all the other variables were equal.
