Sub placement and speaker testing

I'm new to this home theater business so please bear with me. We all had to start somewhere, right? I've already learned a ton about home theater just reading the posts. I recently purchased an RM6000 system and an HK receiver and I'm trying to determine the best location for the sub and sats. The sats will all be mounted on walls with Omnimount brackets and I'm planning on placing the sub between the left front and the TV against a common wall (I live in a condo).
Two questions.
First, will placing the sub against a common wall subject me to the wrath of my neighbors because of excess vibration, etc.?
Second, does anyone out there know of a simple way to temporarily install the speakers on the walls while I evaluate optimum placement? I'd rather not spend alot of time patching holes and/or asking four friends to hold the speakers while I play with my new system.
Thanks in advance for any help.

i would say yes on the wrath of thy neighbor..i can feel more vibration on the walls that my subs are on compared to the others. bass does carry and amplify in other rooms to. just a side note.
2nd question:
you could go and buy some speaker stands, and then when you get the right placement you could take them back only a suggestion, i would never do any thing like this
