Sombody gave me a 40watt RMS 6.5 inch subwoofer. pretty pathetic but I would still like to see what its got but I dont have an amp for it. SO, can I bridge two of the speaker out puts on my deck and hook the sub directly up to it? Would it hurt anything? thanks!

you can hook it up only if your head unit has some kind of low pass filter. you cannot bridge it though

I believe the mid level pioneer hu's let you bridge the rear speaker out puts to run a sub. Something like 70 rms maybe. The deh-550 in my girl's car had that option.

Its some piece of junk roadmaster. I have a sony deck with no low pass filter. anyways, I tryed hooking it up to my sterio in my house( from the speaker outputs) and it played but it was trying to play everything. I could hear people singing so, guess not.
