Im about to buy a new sub and wanted your guys opinions on which sub would be a better all around pick. First its going into a single cab truck in a sealed box. Thier both rated at 400RMS and 800 peak. SO, which sub would be better (louder, hit harder, deaper ect) The polk momo 2124 12 inch or the kicker comp VR 12 inch. Thanks!
When in dout gas it

The Kicker is going to be geared more for SPL so itll be louder and probably be able to handle a little more power than the 400 watt rating.

The Polk is primarily a SQ sub so while it wont hit quite as hard as the Comp it will sound a good bitter better and smoother. But I wouldnt run more than 400 watts to it and actually Id go for more around 350. Dont get me wrong tho, the Polk wont be a slouch in the thump dept either.

Both are excellent subs and it just depends on which you want most but Id go with Polk. SPL = Kicker. SQ = Polk.
