Does anyone know what the going rate for this amp is?
There is one for sale for $1200.
It isnt the newer AT model, and it's got to be at least 5 years old.
I was thinking about grabbing it, but new they are $1999.99 so it doesn't really seem like a fair price.
Thanx!!!

Everything can be cheaper, but it's not entirely out of line.
$1K is a steal, other than that it's a little below average resale as is.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Blue Book Prices:

looks like 1200 is below used BB price, so not a bad deal...these are for the original, not the newer AT model... -
It's not a bad deal, just not a great deal either. I run on wholesale prices via Orion, never on used retail...that's just plain silly.
Orion is just a tool, not a rule.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Mint and Avg don't mean jack - they are what you might get if you hocked it at the local pawn-o-matic.
It's a deal, certainly not a steal. At least for me, I also look at what I will get out of it (or how much I'll have to eat) when and if I want to un-**** it. There isn't much room to play, if any, on this one.
Once the newer model comes out, and or it gets a little older, the value will do nothing but drop substantially.
Then again, if you know you'll love it and keep it forever, you aren't paying more than it's worth..
Cheers,

Thanks for the input, but I still think the price is high for a 5+ year old amp.
I think I'll just keep looking.
