It's good you haven't bought it yet.....you don't need that many speakers. The more speakers you have the more messed up your soundstage and imaging are. If you have a big car, then you might need a few speakers...but your truck isn't very large.
So, you can get by with just a set of MM6. Where in the world were you going to put the second set of MM6?! Mac on this forum has a huge Dodge Ram Quad-Cab, and he put just one set of MM6 in it; sounds awesome. That should really be all you need, besides a sub. So, will do great with the Polk C300.2 powering the MM6.
I'll let someone else step in and tell ya about subs. But, if ya get the MM6, you'll be very happy!George Grand wrote: »

Geeze, ya get some help for a bit audiobliss, and think your a pro goin ahead and giving advice? He's right though, you only need 1 set of each, or even just one set of the MM6, but it depends on what your looking to get out of the system, and how much your willing to spend. Give a price range, and if your looking for more quality or volume out of it...1993 Ford Ranger super cab:

Putting in more 6x9's will mess up the imaging and soundstage. If you just use one MM6, you can probably aim them to get really good imaging and soundstage. If not, it's still not a big deal 'cause your truck's so small you still only need one set. I hve a 2-door Cherokee, and I'm only putting one set of speakers in it. I would just not hook-up the stock 6x9's when I put in an amp and all that. If you're not going to replace the HU, then I'd go back there and disconnect them.
One C300.2 will be fine for the MM6. However, you'll need another amp for your subs. I'm not familiar with subs yet, so I'm not going to say anything about them; I'd probably get it wrong.George Grand wrote: »

If you go with one MM6, you could also go with the C400.4. It matches up perfectly with the MM6 for bi-amping.1993 Ford Ranger super cab:

The dash houses 4x6 inch speakers, not 6x9's. I would eliminate the dash speakers and install the MM6's in your front doors. You might....and I mean might....be able to install the tweeters where the dash speakers were. Check to see if it sounds good first.

I agree with everyone else. All you need is a set of components. You could definitely go with the Mighty MM6, I love mine or you could also check out the new MMC6500. These sound great also. They are a little more colored in my opinion as opposed to the more natural sound of the MM6 but both are great.
The simplest set up would be the MM6 (or MMC6500), then run the 300.2 for the front stage. For a sub, Id say get a MM2104DVC and run it with a 500.1. This setup would sound really good and get plenty loud. You could also use a MM2124DVC but I think for a cab that small, 500+ watts to a stout 10" will be plenty.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
