Objective Opinion - Polk CRS+

Well, here is the deal. I met a new girl. She is great. I am now in a temporary apartment with work. So, I setup my crs+ with stands next to the tv. I used a PS2 as a dvd source into my 1989 yamaha 85wpc receiver. I invite her over. I put in the dvd and run the sound from the PS2 to the receiver (just stereo - no dd or anything). VERY BASIC SETUP. As the movie progresses, she is looking around the room. She is really confused because there are no back speakers --- yet, she is hearing sounds from everywhere.

I just smiled and said they aren't ordinary speakers.

I think I've found the woman that I want to marry.

    I love it!

    Last SDA 'virgin' over at my place listening to the SRS 2's - about a quarter way into The White Stripes - Ball and a Biscuit, he leaned over and said:

    "I can hear your closet door (over on the far left and to the side of the room) rattling."

    My reply:

    "No, the closet door is fine, you are hearing the snare drum vibrate, from the guitar amp in the recording"

    His retort:

    "Oh man, talk about soundstage..."

    Dude, the point here is that the SDA, "in and of itself", provides an outstanding HT experience.

    SDA demo´s to virgins are fun. I didn't even mention the fact that the speakers are special. She picked that up all on her own. And, yes, SDA's are a very good substitute for going without DD.
