In no particular order....

- complete my speaker-based rig V.2005
- complete my headphone-based rig V.2005
- get in shape (20th high school reunion coming up)
- quit my current job as government regulatory analyst
- tell my supervisor and coworker off
- get a fulfilling, well-paid job
- get married....if g/f and mom can only get along

All goals above are achievable. Then there are those that may not be....

- win PowerBall lottery jackpot by myself....twice
- get selected by People magazine as "Sexiest Man Alive....Ever!!"
- solve hi-rez release legal hassle by announcing the release of Beatles albums on SACD
- convince Pixar to make movie about me....and win Academy Award for Best Actor.
- snag Nobel Prize-winning Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model as wife.

    Well, lets see

    - New house being built, hope interest rates stay low
    - Try to finally get a handle on some issues at work that need organization
    - Audio wise, no changes this year(2005). Next year I will probably be speaker shopping
    - Scratch that...I will be needing longer speaker cables because of the new house layout, so I may try something new...

    That's about it.

i guess my goals for this year would be to work less, but that isnt' about to happen. I know for damn sure about that. I am finally up to 6 weeks vacation though.. so i got that going for me in 2005!

I'm still working on losing weight and adding muscle. the muscle part is coming along nicely.. but, the weight isn't coming off so fast. UGH!

Audio wise.. lets see.. I'd really like to get away from a receiver and get a pre amp, finally for the HT. Secondly, score a vintage pair of some great sounding Polks... prob monitor 10's. Would also like to add a used tube CDP. Carver perhaps.

Other than that.. drink less, eat much less and run more.
    PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

I'm not into making new year's resolutions or anything, but here's what I'd like to see happen-

Need a full-time job with benefits by April, so as to get the health insurance and all (the money helps, too)

Maybe get my truck paid off...

    Keep up with my bills

    Get my own place

    That's about it, I guess.

Oh, and keep up my relationship with my GF. Over a year and a half and counting, and still going strong.

Sell more gear, at grunt prices, and keep you guys minds active with my wit and retoric.

I want to snuggle, and hold tubes with at least FIVE forum members this year. I want to feel Brettw22's **** (again), I want to cup it in my hand. I want to wrestle in Al-Dente Rigatoni noodles with fellow forum members, and smoother each other in olive oil. I want whirrled peas.

That, and of course Jenny, that's it. Oh yeah, and rum is good too. LOTS of rum.

    Cheers,

#1 Too reiterate what I said in Jstas thread, to be debt free. One van loan left and it's all over. I won't owe anyone a dime, period.

#2 To try and get my female neighbors naked again at the next party. That was a big hit at our progressive dinner party a couple of weeks ago. This is almost as important as goal #1.

#3 Drink more beer and smoke more cigars. Rum and coke is a must as well.

#4 Party more (see goal #2)

    #5 Repeat goals #2 - #4

Four major goals for me this year.

    1. Save a very large portion of my rather modest income. 401K and IRA mostly. I normally don't save a dime. I'm starting off big (which is normally not recommended) and will slack off later if I can't take it.

    2. Put together a high definition HT with 5.1+1 channels of tube audio. The "+1" is a second tube driven sub. (stereo subs).

    3. Clean up a yard full of trees which I had cut down. Chop it up with an axe I guess, I'm no tree guru.

    4. Fix the heater in my blazer. It is very freakin cold out there!

    Vinyl, the final frontier...

Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... :D

Not spend half of it 10,000 miles away from home.

Over and above that, it's all gravy.
