NICE pictures! How did you get such good quality on them and get them around 100 KB?
I agree that their size will be about the same but its the general look of them that gets me. The stands look more "open" than the floorstanding speakers. They look a tad less overkill when it comes to speakers especially if your dealing with an average size room and an average size tv.
It is a really tough call though cause you can't minimize the space of a bookshelf speaker (unless you mount them on the wall but I'm not doing that...........or can I? If I move my tv over to the left more, but then you'll see back in the corner, unless.....I get a wider stand so that it covers that up but you can still mount the right speaker on the small part of the wall.
Nice speakers, what model is the bookshelf one? and why do you have both? Unless the smaller one is for surround
First Q :
I did the photos in1200X1600 on a Fuji 2.1 megapix , and let WinXP and photobucket.com do the rest
( photobucket.com is free and will host and resize the pics for ya )
2cd Q : The bookshelf is a RTi6 (my mains), and I purchased the the T90e towers to compare them to my 6's in my small bedroom HT setup in the hopes to get more mids/vocals out of my movies (which so far is proving to be a nice improvement ) . Iam still testing out the two for comparision purposes , but looks like I will be keeping the T90e's and possibly selling the 6's or moving the 6's to another room .
I do feel your pain though when it come to limited space , but my exsting system is only residing in a small 12X11 room . So far with either speaker setup (towers or bookshelves) , I have no real problems thus far with worrying about the speakers getting in my way even with other furniture in the room (bed/night stand/big dresser/ bookshelf) . I do have my RTi4's mounted on the rear side walls which does help alot in my situation .
Tough call anyway you look at it . I wish ya the best with any choice you make .

As of now, I'm thinking that I might only be able to upgrade my sub and center.
Would it be bad if I only upgraded my center (maybe the CSi3 or CSi5) and still used the RM6700? Or would it sound weird? If I did do this I would move the center I have now to the rear so I would create 6.1 channels.
As for my sub, I'm thinking a nice SVS PB10 or PB12 will expand my frequency range. But do those subs go well with RM6700 speakers since mine cut off high?
Last question: Anyone here know how to make a frequency range CD to test on subs? I wanna make one that goes from 15 hz to 200 hz. This way I can test my sub vs one at Tweeter. -
bump.....wow my first post in about 3 weeks. I think I've lost interest in HT due to space restrictions. Any tips?
