I get a package in the mail from a computer user in one of our remote locations.

On the post it note attached to the device it said..."Old battery from <users name> old laptop. Battery doesn't work."

This is fine and dandy except what was attached to the post it note was a floppy drive.

People like that keep me employed.

    or

My Aunt bought her first portable phone a few years ago and called me complaining that it did not ring. I told her to hang up and I called her back and it rang with no problems. I asked many other questions just to ensure it was not during peak time or something.

Finally through much discussion I realized that after she was finished with a call she would shut the phone OFF to save the battery life.

Sometimes you just have to say WTF!

Or the time my brother & sister-in-law were at a Pizza Hut in Manistee Michigan (The town's about 20 yrs behind the times.....)
when they were running a promotion where you can get a free pitcher of soda pop with the purchase of a pizza. The other couple they were with wanted regular cola and my sister-in-law wanted diet cola. So they asked the waitress if they could get a half pitcher of diet and half pitcher of regular.......

The waitress comes back with one full pitcher........with BOTH kinds in it!! :p:D

   :( These are the faces of despair! I work at a furniture warehouse, and I had a woman call me and say, " The glass from this box won't fit my tabletop!" After Five minutes of talking to her I asked her to turn it around opposite from the way she described it was on the table. She puts me on hold for 10 seconds and gets back on the phone and says " Oh yeah! Now I see!" That was a good time to take lunch. It is a sad situation. Scary, but sad.

My dad bought his first cell phone a while back and almost took it back cause his battery wouldnt charge even tho his meter showed a full charge.

His first call was to my sister and in the middle of the call he lost the signal. He thought the battery died.

After a full day of charging he tried to call me while I was driving and I lost the signal. So he thought his battery wouldnt stay charged longer than 5 minutes.

Old people and new fangled electronics just dont mix.
