I just got myself a pair of RT35i's and the manual says to use #10 screws, and for the wieght of the speaker I don't think that they would be able to hold.

as long as you hit a stud you will be ok

yep get a stud finder and you will be set. If you are in a corner of a room you should be set. its just the left or right speaker if it away from a corner.

daniam,
You would be amazed how much weight a screw can hold. A 10x1 1/2 screw holds about 40-50 lbs. I have my F/X 300i's hanging with 10x1 1/2 into drywall anchors and I can tell you these speakers are not going anywhere. If you use 3 3/4 inch screws they will definitely not go anywhere, those are the size screws used to hold up kitchen cabinets. I have to be honest I did not come up with this, I went to my neighbor who is a contractor and he gave me this info. Hope this helps.
