I just found out I am getting an Outlaw 950 to go with my parasound 2205, sda-1c's, cs400,psw650, and rta8 tl's in back. My question is what should I add for my additional rear speakers that will match my mostly vintage set up...I have a couple extra amps to drive them...I also have a pair of psb century 800i's to sell or trade(2 8" and tweet in each- black). My wife actually did all the right homework and is hooking me up for x-mas with the outlaw....god I love that woman. Help me out brothers and let me know what you think. The best part is that we are building a new BIG family room so I can really set it all up right....yipeee ki-f-in' yay. Sorry I am a little excited.

If you really want to do it right with a good sized room go with a pair of srs-sda 1.2s or 2.3s in the front and run the 1cs in the rear. I run 1.2s in front with a pair of 2.3s in the rear with a pair of cs400is in the center and the system sounds super with stereo and surround music and HT. You could also look for another pair of 1cs or whatever is the next size down for the rears. Bigger is better all around.

man I would love more sda's or the 2.3's but right now I have the waf to deal with so I will try to barte or buy someting more subtle for now. Sounds like you have a wicked sounding set up....our current living room is 12x12...harldy enough room for my polks to really be set up properly..so we are spending every cent on our addition.

No on the Texas thing. Montana is a sweet place to be. I re-read your origanal post. Why don't you just save your money till you have 5 really good speakers and then add more. This way you won't wind up with a miss-mash mess that doesn't sound good. I and many other poeple have taken years to build their systems buying good components as they could afford them.

I'm curious about the Outlaw 950 pre. I haven't known anyone who has one. I'm interested to see your findings about it.

I picked up the 2205 last year for 1400 new and it made lots o difference with the sda's. I am also using a toshiba cinema series 57" wide screen hi def with cable and a hi-def dvr. I was thinking about maybe adding some fx 100's and scrapping the rta8tl's for monitor10's then another cs400 in da back.
