I would save up for the 15's and just kick back and enjoy the 8's, of course if you see a killer deal on the 9's they are great and I would jump on them for the right price.
Lots of SDA recently, 2B's can be had very reasonably if your patient and they have a great sound for 2 ch.
Anyway, you have the fever so have fun.

The 15's would be sweet, with the one year trade up plan at HiFi Buys it would run me about $700...which I could do down the road, but the 9's would be just $200,and that would leave me a few bucks to do mods on my cd player...just a thought.

Well, you've got a good sub; go with the 9's. Any advantage the 15's might have in bass will be null and void.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

I agree with Madmax and Hoosier:
Try for some good SDA's, but if you are stuck on the trade in, go for the 7's. If you need to spend more money, go for the 9's. Personally, I prefer the 7's to the 9's if combined with a sub due to some directionality concerns I noitced with the 9's and some bloom in mid bass ranges. YMMVThere is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin -

HMMM:rolleyes: Well, already overruled the wife once this month,I sure do want to hear a pair...may be the ticket....has the same driver compliment as my 8's...only better, two 6.5 ,and one soft tweet...hmmmm,now Im really confused -
My .02 worth.... do the Sda's the wife will get over it. I thought new production speakers at first but my Sda2's made a believer out of me.(The benefit of Sda technology and relative low cost)
It will "cost" you though... since getting mine I've spent some serious dollars on new music to check out.
Seriously IMO SDA2's have to be some of the best sounding speakers in Polk's stable and easily stand up against most other manufacturers ( then or now).
Yeah, I'll eventually get into a pair of the big boys but the 2's ain't going anywhere for a long, long time.:D
