Cobalt Cable vs signal cable

Im deciding what to hook up my lsi9's with. I am looking at the cobalt ultimate cable as well as the signal cable double run, price is almost identical but i see that resistance per 1000ft is 4.5 ohms for the signal cable and 1 ohm for cobalt cable (that is the claim anyway) is one cable any better than the other?

thanks
polks soon

I have the Cobalt Cables, they seems to work very well on my #2 system. Much better than the Home Depot 12 gauge (made by Carol) or some 20 year old orogional Monster Cable. I have never tried any of the Signals...

Here is a link to a review of the Cobalt (and others) see what they say vs Cobalt's claims:

You will hear a slight difference with the 1000 foot run.

Dang, you beat me too it... Unless you are running huge lengths, you should notice very little difference.

The difference in their shielding would be more of a worry (assuming there is one)

Here's what I ended up using for my bi-wired LSi9's and LSiC center.

    http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=100-590

It uses the same high-strand OFC copper cable as most quality 12 GA speaker cable, it is very easy to cut/terminate, twisted conductor format, more flexible and easily shaped than PVC-coated cable, and hides very well due to it's black jacket. It's also way cheaper than anything your likely to find in 4-conductor 12 GA/ea. cable out there.
Polk LSi9 Mains, Polk LSIC Center, Polk RT25i Surrounds, Polk M3II Rear Surround, SVS PB10-ISD Sub, Denon AVR 2809 (as digital pre/pro only), Sony BDP-S350, Oppo DV-981HD, Cambridge Audio Azur 540C (CD), Marantz MM9000 5-ch amp, Outlaw ICBM, Panasonic th-42PX85u HDTV, Behringer BFD Pro, Monster Power HTS 2600 Conditioner

If you are running any length <1000ft, you will notice no difference with this bracket of cable.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
