Tuner won't stay tuned???

I have been enjoying the "new" Pioneer tuner immensely, however, it doesn't want to stay tuned. It literally seems to untune itself after a while from the station I'm listening to. I then have to go and fine tune it again to get back.
Could vibrations from my SVS make it move? I live on the bottom floor of some apartments, right on the slab, though. Or is the tuner mechanism itself slightly out of balance? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Wes
PS-> PM incoming, Steve!

Sounds like you have a drifter, probably needs to be aligned.
Cheers,

I don't understand why its doing that to you. Wes, if you have to get it aligned, don't worry about the $60. Use it for the alignment--sorry about that bud, had I known it had problems I wouldn't have had her up for sale.
At any rate, keep it, free of charge. Disregard my PM, I read your PM before this post. Sorry again Wes.
The SVS could possibly do that (but not likely), try playing it for a couple hours with sub off, see if it drifts on you....This tuner is also VERY sensitive to cd players; make sure your CD player is OFF when listening to the tuner.
PS--even if the tuner is OK, keep the money. She needed a good home, Merry Christmas.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -

Just doin the right thing. I hate it when that happens; I had a similar situation on a CD Player I sold to Shack; in transit, the damn clear face plate the covers the display fell off--pretty embarrassing. Luckily it was an easy fix and Shack made the repair. (Thanks again Shackman).

That's too kind. It only seems to do it on one station in particular. Unfortunately it's the one I listen to the most. We'll work something out. I'll send you anther PM.

Nah.....its 60 bucks, hell I got a sugar-momma, she makes sure I'm fed and have the latest CD Player at all times.
Really though, I would have paid you to help me empty my spare bedroom, there's so much old audio stuff in there.
Enjoy!
PS...If this is really eating away at your will to live, bring me one those fancy-pants import beers down for the new years bash. It probably has an instable crystal oscillator used for demodulation of the FM carrier. If its not real bad try some iso pods or something just to see if there is a cause and effect with regard to the wandering.

Cant really say about the tuner anymore than the others already have, but very class move Steve, you are a gentleman of the first order.
