So I came across this today while I was at work. It's so incredibly sad and all of you should watch this video:

The Story of Juliana Wetmore

I'm really not sure how to react to that. I can't imagine having to go through that as either the parents or the child. Of course you're going to love that child unconditionally, but I just can't imagine what they're going through. I'm definitely thinking about donating some money to this family. Mostly because this guy is in the military and I know their salary isn't all that huge and I can't imagine how their going to be able to afford all of these reconstructive surgeries on his money. I have great respect for this mans service to his country and both he and his wifes service to their daughter and mankind.

Wow, Mother nature can be one cruel **** at times. What a shame, I can only hope she gets the help she needs.

Unbelievable. Just goes to show how fortunate each of us truly is and how would should be so thankful.

It takes a lot for me to cry but I couldn't hold myself back after watching that. Such a sad story.

A 12 year old girl near my parents got hit by a car 4 months ago and is paralyzed. Her father owns a Chinese restaurant and is the nicest guy you could meet. My Mom went in a few days ago to get some food and they were asking for donations to help pay medical bills because they are on the verge of having to shut down their restaurant since the accident. My Mom pulled out her checkbook and wrote him a check for $100. He looked at her and balled his eyes out. He then tried to give my mom the food for free but my Mom wouldn't dare allow him, handed him a $20 a told him she didn't want any change. That night she told my Dad about it and they decided to give them a $1000 donation the next day. They had 5 perfectly healthy children and knew how fortunate they were and felt terrible for the girl and her family.

Anywho, not trying to say how great my parents are but if you're doing well and have an excess amount of toys (think all of us do hehe) I think it's a good choice to donate some money/items to people that actually NEED stuff, not want stuff like we do.

Why do you put father in quotes? Do you doubt the man's claim of parenthood?
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

this all really does suck- it's sad it's such a cruel world that she and her family will have to deal with. I'm not real big on sympathy, but this here just really pushes my buttons
