Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone here has the replacment tweeters for the tri-lams? I dunno if you remember but I had my rt55i's & cs400i sent back to be repaired & didnt have them for about 2 months. Anyways I got them back a month or so ago, and when I got them back they didnt seem to be what I remembered, even though auditory memory doesnt last very long. But when I watch say, Lord of the rings it seems like every time a brass instrument(like a trumpet) is played in the score it just sounds god aweful, Ive watched those movies plenty of times & never used to notice anything like that. So I guess Im just wandering if any of you guys feel that the new tweeters arent very good.

    I would just buy the RT35i or RT35 (whatever your version is, RT55 = RT35, RT55i = RT35i...

The price of one tweeter is the cost of one RT35i basically...might as well buy a pair of them and get woofers and tweeters...

    My 2 cents

Yea I thought about that, but hopefully I will be able to upgrade to better speakers within the next year. I would eventually like to get some Martin logans or maybe even give the definitive technology speakers a listen to, since I only use my system for 99.999999% movies. The sound from my speakers isnt bad enough that I cant enjoy a movie, I just always tend to notice it whenever a sound like that is being played. Dunno, maybe im just too picky.

Well if you plan on looking at Definitive,

make sure you just walk in the store, ask about the one in your price range and ask for an in-home trial...

Don't even listen to them in the store, especially if you are looking at the bipolar towers. They sound terrible in-store.

They require alot of placement tinkering and adequate power to sound good...

    Good luck...

Oh yeah, stay away from the BP6B...

Try to get the BP10B - can be had for like 400 + shipping on EBay...
