Sure, HDCD still exists. Brian Wilson's just released "Smile" is encoded in HDCD.

HDCD is pretty cool. I didn't know I had so many HDCD CDs until I got an HDCD player. I use HDCD CDs to show off my 2-channel system. Some of the CDs don't even have the HDCD logo on their artwork. Glad to see they're still makin' 'em.
HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50” LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

HDCD is also available on Windows Media Player V.9 and V.10. This is expected since Microsoft owns HDCD.

Bela Fleck releases all of their new albums in HDCD, I have a four disc set of John Williams' movie music in HDCD, it's still there :)

John Mellencamps "The best I could do 1978-88" was done in HDCD. Although I was dissappointed in the SQ of some of the songs, but that my be from when the tracks were initially cut.
