Quick DVD--->Mp3 story

I have a few music dvd's and I thought about trying to convert the audio/music of the dvd to Mp3 files so I can listen to them in my car.
Well I used DVD dycrypter to dycrypt the VOB DVD files, then I used BeSweet audio ripper to convert the dvd files to Mp3's.
Besweet is a little difficult to use at first because there is really no help files, so it is more of a trial and error process. And if you are an impatient person it would not take you long to give up.
Besweet uses an fairly easy GUI interface to convert the files, but I was having problems with the audio, it seemed very bass heavy and basically annoying. After farting around with a few settings and reripping the same file over and over about 6 times I found the settings of 320 kbps to be very good, and I had to adjust what the program called "noise shaping" from a low default setting of 2 to the highest setting of 9.
Why not just have all the files default at the highest settings I am still baffeled by that. And the default MP3 setting is 128 kbps. But even riping at 320 kbps was still unlistenable because of the low noise shaping setting. Once I increased it to 9 all the muffled bass sound went away and it was cystal clear.
Once I had the first file down pat, I breezed through the other 7 DVD/VOB files in about 20 minutes. Each VOB--->MP3 rip created a file about the size of 50 megabytes. So I easily fit all of the files onto a CD in the MP3 Keg format. I burned the CD so all of the songs run together so there is no skip in the sound.
I burned the DVD "Dream Theater: Live at Budokan" It was a three hour concert, and if I bought the CD's in the store it would be a 3 cd set. yet I have the entire thing on one. The quality may not be as good, but it sure is a hell of a lot cheaper.
If anyone ever needs help with this process please let me know, I would be very willing to give and helpful tips or answer any questions.
