As title says, I have $100 to spend on a new DVD player. Doesn't sound like much but it seems there are a lot of players out there for this. Which is your favorite and why?

BTW, used players count in case anyone has one to sell.

It's now discounted to below $100.00, the Sony DVP-NS725P is a really good DVD player. Basically, a progressive scan DVD player that delivers an excellent picture and according to audioasylum.com, excellent sound quality as a CD player.

found it for about $87 shipped. Anyone else with ideas. I liked the idea of the panasonic with that farahuda (sp?) processor. Anyone with used equipment looking to unload?

i think i have the player you are talking about (panny dvd-rp56??).
the player i have is awesome. it might be tough to find one now though. see only 1 on ebay now and they want 130 for it... i think i got it from CC display model for ~140 a couple years ago -
You may be able to snag the Denon 910 for around $100. If you can, it's the best player for that price, hands down...

I'd also suggest the sony DVP725 for a new player. I really like mine.Fulmer

Toshiba 3960 at $69 is at the #1 spot on my list. Sounds good out of the box, can be upgraded to sound better than they have a right to.
madmaxVinyl, the final frontier...
Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -
