Nah, I don't think I am good enough to call this a job - but I definetely can build stuff, Russ's speakers were the hardest design I've tried to do yet. Basically because I cut the slots, etc - the second one turned out alot better than the first...

I just noticed, I did the grains different on each speaker... first one has the grain going front-to-back, and the second one has grains going side-to-side. lol...

Well they definetely are not coming apart, I used a combination of wood glue and caulk all over the thing and about a bazillion screws. - they are together...forever (how sweet) :p lmao

What are you using to make the cuts with? I have a cheapo $99 Delta tablesaw that's absolutely worthless when trying to make cuts over 2ft. Just curious :D

    me?

Hmm, in the shop we have two table saws, a really big one with an extention bench...

and I also used a radial arm saw, and a band saw to do the notches for the front baffle and slot port... (it had a fence to keep the cuts straight)...

    (if you were asking me)

Just wondering, why no angled cuts? Sounds like you have the right equipment.

I think I know what he talking about - the joints where the corners meet, a 45 degree angle - easier to finish, etc...

I have one good reason, really time consuming, harder to put together...

And not to mention to many people mess with the tools and eff with the calibration and I dont have the patience or time to set it back up...

Yea, angles at the joints, thats what I meant. Butt joints are OK, just figured you would have tried the next harder thing.

I may try that for shop two...

In shop two, I am going to make a gigantic subwoofer. Maybe stacked Datyon 15" Titantic subs..

1.5" thick MDF walls, tons of bracing, 1000 watts amp...etc etc :p

I wish to create a MONSTER

    Haha, btw - that was a joke ^^ ;)

I really wanna make a 2-way design, and I see some old vintage drivers from Definitive on Parts Express. This could be fun.

The fence on the el-cheapos are horrible. I should know. I have one!! :D

One of the other things to upgrade eventually. The irony is the cost to upgrade to a decent fence is more then the saw!

There is one problem with the fence on the table saw at school, it is worn out.

It holds pretty good, but not when you slap a 8x4x.75 up on that table and it rams into it ;)

We had one heck of a time with that lol
