I have been busy the last week with the birth of my baby boy. He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounzes, and was 22 inches long. As a result I haven't had a lot of sleep the past few days, but seeing and holding him wakes me up every time

We named him Michael Cade. If you take the first initials of his mother and I's grandfathers, it spells out CADE. Chester, Andrew, Dave, & Eugene. We are going to call him Cade for the most part.

As far as SDA's, no dice. He will have the LSi7's to enjoy Baby Einstein for a while though.

Great idea and a fine tribute to your family! Raising a child is the hardest and the best thing you'll ever do.

I don't believe any human being reaches true adulthood or learns to truly appreciate their parents, until they raise a child. God bless!

Thank you everyone for your words of kindness and encouragement.

My wife is holding up pretty good. She had a last minute c-section after 15 hours of labor with very little pain(I thank the inventor of the epidural). She is up and walking good.

I have taken off work for a week and a half to help her with as much as I possibly can. Then I will be off of work for 2 weeks during Christmas to help even more.

    Really cute kid, congradulations!
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin
