First let me ask a question. Are Digital Audio speakers a brand that the "white vanners" sell?

Here's why I ask. I answered an ad in the paper for a pair of new speakers that sell for $4000 and the guy is willing to unload for $750 o.b.o.(what a sweetheart):) After learning that I hadn't stumbled across a pair of Nautilus 801's I asked a few questions and got these answers....

I really have no way to demo them because all my speaker wire is in the ceiling connected to my current system:rolleyes: ......

I got them when my brother died and I'm just trying to pay some bills for xmas;) ..............

I have other sets for sale also, my brother was kind of a speaker nut:p.............

At that point i laughed and hung up. But I got to thinking of the white van post earlier this month and thought we could have a little fun seeing as how I have the phone #:D

Let me know if this is a scam. And whether any of you reasonable, good natured citizens and defenders of all that is holy would like to have a little fun.

Just an addition to my earlier post.

I forgot one of the best things about my phone call to the "white vanner".
This scumbag had his 3-4 year old answer the phone. This little kid, just as cute and nice as he could be, finally says after telling me his name and asking mine "I'll go get my daddy".

Right out of the Al Bundy shoesalesman school.

I can't believe no one here wants to mess with this guy. I did say that I have his number right.:D:confused::D

I am fairly certain that digital audio are "White Van" Speakers, so are Dogg Digital, and Theatre Research. As for messing with him, why bother. He's not being overly aggressive, I'd say leave him be or inform him of the white van scam since there is an outside possibility that he is innocent and just knows jack squat about some speakers that his brother got scammed. The "you can't audition" sounds fishy, but I'd give they guy the benifit of the doubt and leave him alone. He isn't actively approaching people and using high pressure sales tactics to sell like true white van guys. Just my two cents...
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin
