This Tuesday night I'm headed to the Meyerhoff Symphony here in Baltimore for the "Lord of the Rings Symphony". The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra along with the Boys Choir, A female vocalist and some others are presenting Howard Shore's music from LotR.

Even since I saw the BSO perform back in the summer, I was hooked. They nailed the music from the Star Wars Trilogy PERFECT!

Any others out there check out the symphony? I suggest you do if there is one in your area. You won't regret it!

I've seen the Dallas Symphony once since we've been here; they were great, and I'll definitely see them again.
Unfortunately, I missed out on a chance to hear the London Symphony recently; the whole family was sicker than hell.

Although it can get expensive, the symphony is really a great experience. It's live music like no other, and really impressive for those that have never experienced what non-amped instruments can really do. Lots of impact.

The LA Phil is a wonderful orchestra, and the new Disney Hall is very nice. I moved b4 I could experience the new pipe organ, but the hall is really something.

When I was younger I used to frequent the San Francisco Symphony, and now that I'm back I'm going again. A really great orchestra, excellent performances, and they've gotten better in the 4 years I was gone.

I've experiences several orchestras, but the best was the Berlin Philharmonic when it came to Orange County a few years ago w/ Claudio Abbado. Amazing! Musical perfection incarnate.

Hope that LOTR symhony comes to San Fran sometime soon. Happy listening!
