Before I get my system set up I was wondering what the alternator should be rated at to have a rockford fosgate bd1000.1 at full power and the pioneer premier DEH-P930 with the MOSFET 50Wx4 rating in the radio so my truck will start after I use my system???
It's in the shop right now so I haven't had a chance to look at the rating. My truck is a 96 gm sierra extended cab w/out the third door.
Oh, and before I forget, did I see something to have the punch bass all the way down...or was it all the way up...or was I just seeing things and it doesn't really matter?
Thanks again

I would say a stock 90 amp alternator would be OK for that amp, it's a very efficient amp, but if it were me, I would probably get a 1 farad cap. Wouldn't hurt to jump the alternator to like 140, but I don't think it will hurt much to have something smaller with a cap. But that's just my opinion.Testing

i drive a 97 jeep grand cherokee with 2 eclipse 1100 watt amps pushing 4 12" momo's and i upgraded to an ohio generator 200 amp alternator i work at an aftermarket auto parts store so i got it for right about 460$ it gets put in on tuesday so i'll be able to tell you how it works after that

You will be fine. It is class d. A cap will not hurt, but it adds load to the electrical system.

all you have to do is add up all the fuse rating, that will tell you what the amps will draw. then find out what your alt. is pushing.

i have "2" stinger pro series batterys & "10" caps for sale if inter.
