NOLA was real great. First, I spent a week in a stilt house on the Outer Banks of NC, way down near Hatteras where there was no one else around, then my friend and I hopped a flight to New Orleans for just two days.
We stayed at a swank place (Melrose Mansion) in The Quarter (cheap rates, cause it's July) and ate and drank for two days straight. We ate at Upperline (amazing), Commander's Palace (had to wear a tie in 100% humidity, but the food was glorious) and Dooky Chase (soul food!). In between we saw Mardi Gras World (where they build the floats), Cafe Du Monde, the Voodoo Museum, a cemetary, rode the streetcar (COOL!), saw the "Real World" house, danced at Tipitina's, saw the Confederate Museum, and drank Dixie Beer all up and down The Quarter: Snug Harbor, Cafe Brasil, Sweet Kathleen's, The John, Port of Call...
It was a tough morning (Tuesday) getting to the damn plane and then driving back to B'more.
And needless to say, coming back to work on Thurs was... A drag.
NOLA was a funky place. Looked very cool and gothic, especially at night. I liked it. (But I wouldn't want to live there.) Thanks to everyone on the forum who gave me some tips for visiting!
Next trip I think will be to take my friend to the Grand Canyon; she's never been.

....what you said, that reminds me of a saying by John O Toole.
When executing advertising, it's best to think of yourself as an uninvited guest in the living room of a prospect who has the magical power to make you disappear instantly
Man, I love that saying, it just ROLLS of the tongue, and has EVERYTHING to do with audio.
Cheers,
