I am looking to replace my Sony DVD/CD/SACD player and was looking at the Denon DVD-2900. Looks like a pretty good upgrade from my current player. Does anyone have one of these Denons or has anyone heard one? Let me know what you think about it.

It's excellent, and you should be able to get one on the cheap because it has been discontinued.

Check out the Secrets review link below, gives you a good starting point for research, at least from the video side of things:

...won't help you out on the audio side of things much, but a place to start...you may also want to look at the 2910, but I don't think that one's been reviewed yet

I bought the 2900 when it was first released and have never had a problem what so ever. GREAT Vidio and Multi-chnl and it never choked on any home brew cd I have thrown at it.

I've demo'd both the 2900 and the 5900 and loved them both. Denon's really got something good going on in this lineup. I'm sure the 2910/3910 are at the same high level of performance.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

We just got the 3910 in a few days ago. I've only got to check it out for about 15 minutes, but my first impression is...it's a freakin' tank!

Great machine the 2900. Repeating what the others have said about checking out the 2910/3910, in NZ that retails for a $1000 less than the 2900 did. The 910 models also come with both hdmi and dvi outputs aswell (from memory, which is somewhat diminishing as each day passes:)

I picked one up from Crutchfield about a month ago, they are closing them out. I am very pleased with its performance on SACD as well as redbook, cant say about video have not hooked it up for this.
