Same question as the sbk thread, ever heard of em? I can more than likely bag these for notta and the only real issue they have is the surrounds are rotted on the 10's. If I do I will post some pics of them when I have a chance.

I see Bolivar in Orion, but nothing on SBK. They aren't worth anything, especially to put money into them. It's your call.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

When I was in college in the late 70's I had a pair of the Bolivar 10" 3 way speakers. The company was an off-shoot of JBL and was only around for a few years. In the day, they were a pretty good speaker at a good price point. The 10" were comparable in sound to my room-mates Polk Monitor 5's and my large Advents. They came with an interesting test album, which I gave to someone else that still had a pair of Bolivar speakers a few years ago. I agree, probably not high on the list for putting a lot of money into.

The thinking on this was a nice pair of starter speaks for my boys two channel rig, and a lesson in how to refoam a driver. Good father son project, if you get my drift. And these are the 10 inch three way model.

Thanks for the info mark, spent any time fondling any shrubs lately?:D

That sounds like a good plan Mike.

No shrubs lately, I figure I'll wait until the next Polkfest.
