So I was curious... how do you people find local pairs of sdas? Do you just check the buy and sell often and look in local pawn shops? I don't think they would be a common garage sale item but they seem to pop up alot on here. Any thoughts?

    good ?

I don't own any SDA's myself. and i have only twice in three years seen a pair of any model of SDA's appear 4 sale anywhere in the Northwest. Most seem to be in FL and TX & IL. ???

You're right.. highly doubtful you would run into a pair at a yard sale.. or pawn shop.

Seems to be word of mouth, friend of a friend type thing when it comes to scoring a pair of SDA's.

None to be found for months on end....
then badda bing...You come across 2-3 pairs in a couple of weeks.
I have bought 3 prs. in the last 4 months,
    2 in the last month.

My advice is to Advertise! "WTB"
There are several audio boards, and always local papers websites etc.
Be prepared to move quick, they sell fast,
know what you want and what it's worth and when the right pair is in your sights pull the trigger.

Thanks for the advice. Very good idea to figure out exactly what model I want, whats it worth and how much I want to spend. I'm going to have to look more into the specifics about them and set my sights on a certain pair.... gives me some time to keep saving so I don't blow all my savings at once :p .

if you are up for a road trip,
    these are a screaming deal.

I'd love to grab those 2.3's but damn Oregon... Thats one hell of a drive from vancouver :p . The only way I'd be able to bring them back is if I managed to get my friend to drive me there in his truck and that wouldn't be cheap on gas since its a 68 1 ton truck (I think its a 68 anyways). The money spent on gas would probably amount to what it would cost to ship them. Well I'm going to have to think this one over. Thanks for all the links and responses you guys have been very helpful again.
