I bought a pair of FXi30 surround speakers last year w/ the intention of matching them up with new front/center speakers later. I'm getting ready to purchase speakers in the RTi series for front/center. The FXi30 has been replaced by the FXi3. My quesiton is, will my older FXi30's still voice-match with the current RTi models (RTi8 or 12, CSi3 or 5)?

Thanks in advance!

I believe the tweeters on the RTi series are different than the FXi30's you have.
However, this shouldn't prove to be a problem in your system for two reasons.
    1) They are both silk domes, so will not have a completely different tweeter substance to deal with.
    2) Surround speakers don't really affect the overall sound as much, unless you listen to a lot of multichannel music.

I've been using FXi30's along with my LSi7's and have been pleased with the results.

    Hope this helps.

I agree, voice matching is not so important with the rears, but the tweets between the the different series do sound different. They won't be dead on, but close enough.

And if you were listening to that much multi-channel music, you wouldn't be using dipole/bipole rears anyway.
    Go BIG or go home!

Ditto the above - your front soundstage is what really requires voice matching.
