Nope! They dont make any sound at all.:D
They dont have a brain yet.
I didn't mention it but I think that this project might change drastically just before it was about to be completed.
We may be replacing this tweeter with a brand new driver from the Dayton Reference Series. It is made by Usher and the testing done so far makes it a much better choice for this project. It is not available yet but Jon is going to have one this weekend. We would drop the crossover point to about 1 kHz but we would still use an elliptic modified LR crossover. Jon is doing some driver testing with Mark K and depending on the results we may change drivers. We have to look at the Extremis and where the problems are, then figure out how to avoid them. We may also go with the Seas 27TDFC which has excellent performance down low. We shall see soon.
There are other possible big (literally) changes to this project aswell but I will see what happens.
Thanks for following the project.Graham -

Yeah they should be done by then. Thanks for having me over. It was nice to meet you and your wife. We'll definitely do it again some time and your more than welcome to come over.
Jon is doing some driver testing right now. I should have some results tonight. I really like the Dayton Reference tweeter but I dont know when it will be ready and it may be too expensive. I cant wait for the driver testing results!Graham -

Thank you very much. Well, I know you are kind of joking, but it is something I have considered when the time is right. I am starting engineering in the fall and this might be an area that I would pursue when I am finished. I have also been asked by an audio company this week to design an enclosure for them. I'll see what happens there. It should be a fun project.Graham
