Kitchen ceiling

I'm looking for some advice on kitchen ceiling speakers. My thoughts are towards two mono speakers since there is no one spot where someone will always be. I have a Denon AVR3500 reciever that will be controling them.

I like putting kitchen speakers above the cabinets in the back. They are hard to see, can be moved around for best sound and are much easier to install. Mono is the way to go.
