If you're talking floor stands, here are two good sources, at least to see what's available. Those 55's are quite large, so I wouldn't go any taller than 24".

In particular, the Lovan Ballets might be a good choice, considering that they are very stout and have a 7"w x 8"d top plate.
Polk LSi9 Mains, Polk LSIC Center, Polk RT25i Surrounds, Polk M3II Rear Surround, SVS PB10-ISD Sub, Denon AVR 2809 (as digital pre/pro only), Sony BDP-S350, Oppo DV-981HD, Cambridge Audio Azur 540C (CD), Marantz MM9000 5-ch amp, Outlaw ICBM, Panasonic th-42PX85u HDTV, Behringer BFD Pro, Monster Power HTS 2600 Conditioner

My RT55i are on Sanus NF18 speaker stands (18" high"). This gets the tweeters up to around 36" high. I paid around $75 for them. They are very stable and work well for me.

Whadyasay-Thanks for the links and I agree about the height of the stands. Right now I have them sitting on end tables that are about 18"and they sit about the same as my rti 70's,but the wife wants the tables back.

Shack - Those stands seem to be what I'm looking for.Are yours mounted to the stand or just sitting on them? What are the spikes for on the top plate? And for the final question, where did you purchase them?

    Thanks

Just sitting on the stands. With the weight of the 55s they aren't going anywhere.
What are the spikes for on the top plate?
To isolate the speaker from the stand. I use 4 rubber/poly/whatever pads to isolate vs the spikes.
And for the final question, where did you purchase them?
Crutchfield. You can probably find them cheaper somewhere else...but for the little I could save I went with a Co. with great service.
