Has anyone had a chance to use one of these new fangled
soldering irons yet?

I was just wondering if they are worth wasting $20 on.
The infommercial on these make it seem nearly fool proof and
addresses all the issues we have had with irons throughout the years.

They work, at least the first time you use it.

They break easily and don't do a good job. I'll stick with either an electric or butane iron.
    Ludicrous gibs!

The technology looks great, I was concerned about the build quality.

    Thanks,
