    My question is whats the deal with the Robbon spealers? Are they new, a reintroduction or whats the story?

    One cool thing about ribbons is that they handle a relatively large frequency response (200hz to 17khz or so) so there is no crossover in the voice range to fudge things up.

    Another cool thing is that they are tall and narrow, like a line array, which keeps reflections away from the floor and ceiling.

    Yet another is that the ribbon is somewhat soft and doesn't sizzle like some of the harder domes.

    They also radiate from the front and back giving a good reflection off of the rear wall and if set up properly sound very spacious.

    They look really cool too. :)
